Who is Making Connections Toowoomba?

We’re a multi-disciplinary team  delivering:

  • Supportive, evidence-based group programs
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Psychology
  • Caregiver training

to neurodivergent children, teens and young adults and their caregivers.

We Are a Neuroaffirming Practice

  • We work with young people who identify as neurodivergent, such as autistic people, those with ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental variations.
  • We see neurodiversity as a natural and valuable part of human diversity.
  • We respect and value the unique neurological differences of each participant.
  • We rejoice in the colour neurodiversity brings to our world.
  • When teaching strategies, our goal is not to ‘fix’ or ‘cure’ participants — because they’re not broken.

As Our Mission states:

We aim to help neurodivergent youth make connections with like-minded peers and build strategies so they can interact within their world with greater comfort, connectedness, and confidence... and have a whole lot of fun along the way!

No Diagnosis? No NDIS? No Problem.

We work with self- and plan-managed NDIS participants – and we also welcome those without a diagnosis or funding. Simply enquire to see how we can support you and your family.

What our participants tell us they gain

Belonging
Finding like‑minded peers and feeling safe to be who they are.

Confidence
Increased comfort in conversations and social situations.

Practical strategies
Simple tools families can use beyond sessions.

"We are so grateful for MCT, the integrity of the team, the continued support, but most of all, your personalities and understanding, accepting and celebrating our kids!”
